Advanced Research for Academia & Science
Bharat Citation Index (BCI) database is citation database intends to measure and perform basic functions, general literature search and evaluation using citations similar to international databases, like WOS and SCOPUS, etc.. A citation database in general is a collection of published research information including its appended bibliographical references information that is organized systematically so that it can easily be accessed for various purposes and retrieve sought information, managed, and updated regularly.

Citations symbolize the association of R&D ideas. The references that researchers cite in their papers make explicit links between their current research and prior work in the literature archive. Bharat Citation Index (BCI) enabling intellectual links by listing both cited and citing works. Like other indexes, this enables one to move back in time to previously published papers. But uniquely one can also look forward in time to determine who has subsequently cited an earlier piece of research work.
Walk-in Users
Individuals who do not qualify as Authorized Users as previously defined but are officially registered as permitted users of the Client's library or information service. These users are allowed to access the Secure Network exclusively through designated computer terminals located within the library premises of the Authorized Sites. For clarity, any fee paid to register as a Walk-in User shall not be considered a form of Commercial Use as outlined in the clause on Commercial Use above.
Database Access Technology
Refers to all software and other non-tangible assets provided by M/s AVAGS DIGITAL SERVICES LLP to the Client for the purpose of accessing the Databases. This includes, but is not limited to, software in both source code and machine-readable formats, data files, data structures and relationships, individual data elements and their interconnections, indexing systems, content policies, enhancement mechanisms, algorithms, and any derivative works based on these components.
Specialized Solutions for Government Institutions
BCI will help the Government to decide the relevance and necessity of such unproductive R&D institutions or may amend their mandate to work in the upcoming or changed environment. BCI will help the government in policy making, decision making and allocating funds and research projects/grants, etc. Also, it will provide anatomical insight of the institutions R&D activities and productivity for inter - comparison and accordingly to decide relative superiority of them for bestowing awards, reward and funding grants, etc.
